Apparently its a tie between Detroit,Minneapolis and Buffalo Very Happy

Apparently most of America pronounce Caught and Cot the same way apart which was the major reason

Wow spot on, Philadelphia.

Jersey City, Baltimore and Honolulu. apparently.

How did you end up with Honolulu even though I live in a fucking Pacific nation

View user profile
California (modesto), Nevada (reno), and Utah (slc).

Kinda weird. Never lived in any of those states..can only assume it has something to do with my mom being from the east coast...because some of the things I say are distinctly east coast.

boston and newark

Hehe Salem!

I knew it Storm is a witch Very Happy

Also I took the test again no more Detroit got replaced by Rochester with different questions

View user profile
So...

According to this test, it seems to suggest a few things.

1. NYTimes website is virus infested. At least Norton thinks so, since it only worked after disabling it.
2. I am American (all red map), or America is really a communist state.
3. I am a witch...

It also picked Modesto and Reno for me.

Need a Canadian to take it

I bet Hydra gets something like Montana because his voice twin is from there

View user profile
Two cities in LA county and Mobile, Alabama.

Interesting contrast I guess.

View user profile
It says I live in Colorado, so not very accurate for me.

View user profile
Most similar were Chattanooga, TN(hour and a half away), Columbus, GA(4 hrs), and Lexington, KY(5 and a half hrs). Not too bad, but some of the southern words it had on it I've never used but heard a few people use...mainly people that are older than 60.
Least similar were Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Minneapolis, MN.

Mobile is not like the rest of Alabama...it's more like a mix of Florida and Louisiana.

I still doubt what im going to dub a "Bayou Accent" is much like an LA accent Very Happy

View user profile
I got Baltimore. Not that far off considering I grew up about 3 hours away from there.

View user profile
Well my dialect is a combination of where I've been and the others around me. But it said Columbus, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa.

View user profile
Apparently I am like Boston Tacoma and Worxester

View user profile
New York, was inda expecting that haha

View user profile
My map was entirely blue for practically the entire quiz, but somehow they knew I was from New York because I said "sneakers" for one of the questions... All 3 guesses were New York cities and they were all based on that one answer  scratch

I think that is just the definitive answer that made it choose New York

Like that and your other answers provided the overlap to narrow it down

So what New York citys did you get?

Any the same as me?

View user profile
I got New York, Yonkers, and I forgot the last one.

View user profile
I'm Canadian and I got New York, Yonkers (which compared to the third answer are pretty close to my hometown of Toronto) and Los Angeles.

View user profile
Shinma wrote:I got New York, Yonkers, and I forgot the last one.

Two highs fives yo!

View user profile
Shinma wrote:I got New York, Yonkers, and I forgot the last one.

I got Yonkers and Newark.

View user profile
So am I the only one who got Boston Tacoma and Worcester... I have lived on the West Coast and the East Coast and in the middle of Canada + on the border of Netherlands and Germany. So my accent is weirdish

Mini bros Very Happy

Also Detroit

I bet you got Detroit for the same reason I did which was that Caught/Cot thing

I can only guess Minneapolis or something has a more British Vocab

View user profile
I am Canadian.... but I didn't get Detroit ... i want to do it again...grrr

View user profile
Did again trying to be super accurate... got Boston... again. Then Ft. Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines, Florida

Yonkers

Close enough I guess

View user profile
2 were because of calling soda "pop". That was Detroit and Minneapolis. Santa Clarita was for drinking fountain. Though we just call them fountains but there was no option for that.
