So I finally decided to give the go ahead to my doctor for the surgery.

Well, im giving him the go ahead tomorrow.

Shoulder still constantly hurts, and PT hardly helps. I still can't lift my hand higher than my shoulder if my arm is outstretched and even when not doing anything I always have a constant pain.

Figure might as well if he still suggests it. Keep it from getting worse in the future.

Good luck with that soap. I'm sure it was the right decision.

Yeah man you'll feel so much better once they fix you up. Hopefully they can get you back pretty close to 100%. Good luck dude.

Im just curious on the recovery time. Various readings over the web have made it hard to make a decent estimate. I have seen posts of people saying they, or people they knew were up or back at work in just a few days to a week or so. And others saying months. So who knows.

What exactly is wring?

What kind os surgery is it?

I have experience with this obviously, but granted mine was pretty bad so it may not be the best indicator.

Just an arothroscopic surgery for my shoulder.

Ah then your recovery should be pretty easy

Mine was brutal, but that was because well, my injury was brutal.

I would imagine a few weeks and youll be moving it around pretty good and be well into PT

Shoulders are tricky so it's hard to really say. Especially when dealing with torn cartilage or tendons. Those don't really heal on their own...at least not very well.

You'll probably bounce back from the surgery itself pretty quick but your shoulder will probably never be 100% what it was. Hopefully they get it close but you'll probably still need PT to get it functioning at a decent level again.

SIV

My dad tore his rotator cuff in both shoulders at the same time a year or 2 ago...he had surgery on one, had to wait 6 weeks for recovery, then have surgery on the other, and had to wait another 6 weeks before he went back to work.

Ugh. I really hope this doesn't ruin the possibility of getting that medical job.

View user profile
Is there a lot of lifting involved with this job?

View user profile
Not really sure.

All I really know is that htey were looking for someone immediately.

Literally. The amount of dudes that go in for shoulder surgery that accidentally have their penis's (penisi?) removed is pretty shocking.

Something like 87.3%.

So it wont be happening for a few weeks, but he said it will be done before the new year....

GUH. Sucks hes like the only orthopedic surgeon in LA that my insurance pays for.

View user profile
Are you sure?

I would try calling your insurance and see if they can find other options. He can't be the ONLY one.

View user profile
I have to drive nearly 40 miles to see him. Hes like one of 3. And all the others are waaaay farther than he is. Plus I really like him. And I have dealt with this pain for several months now, I can wait a few more weeks. Plus it will go by easier since he got me stronger meds.

View user profile
Oh ok. Makes sense then.

View user profile
Yeah, only downside is for some reason my insurance was terminated on the 31st of last month. Couldn't figure out why. But I was under my mmom's, and she got everything sorted out. But I have to wait 24 hours for the system to reset or update or whatever. So I got NO pain meds right now, and im not paying 65 bucks for my new pills....

And check him out on yelp to see how many cocks he's accidentally chopped off instead of shoulders.
