Here's a fun fact about my shithole city.

Some random website wrote:3- Moncton has the most Tim Hortons per capita in Canada
Despite having a population of just 64,128, the city of Moncton, New Brunswick, has a staggering 22 full-sized Tim Hortons franchises. That equates to 1 restaurant for every 2,915 residents. That’s a particularly eye-opening statistic when you consider that the ratio of Tim Hortons to Canadian citizens country-wide is a lofty 1 to 15,000. Then again, if you lived in a city as dull as Moncton, you’d need something to keep you awake too.
They are everywhere here.

Because money and profit margins. You get a lot less waste when dealing with frozen stuff.

The coffee is like crack...people will go to tims no matter what.

Tim's coffee has just under the legal allowable limit of caffeine in it. People are hooked on that shit BAD.

Yeah plus it costs them pennies to brew a pot of coffee but sell them for several dollars. Got to be at least 1000% markup if not more.

what the fuck is the legal limit of caffeine? you'd have to eat several times your weight of pure caffeine to even have a chance of ODing on it, and by that point you'd be dead anyways from overeating and rupturing your stomach.

It's not an LD50 type thing...just for general health reasons.

They just recently changed the cap on energy drinks too. 180mg per single serving or 400mg per liter.

I'm pretty sure if you ate the weight of your hand in PURE caffine, you would die of a heart attack, urm maybe even less lol

24 Re: Which is which (No googling) on 2013-10-25, 03:35

It would take around 10,000 mg of caffeine (about 100 cups of brewed coffee) to kill someone who weighs 150 pounds.
Average hand weighs 250-500g for an adult. So yeah just a finger would do it Razz

150-200 mg/kg is the estimated lethal dose of Caffeiene, so yeah you would have to drink a lot.

but the law isnt there to stop overdoses, its pretty hard to OD on caffeine, you have to actually try to do it. but its super-easy to over-consume it and suffer from various other unpleasant side effects of caffeine.

The only sad thing about Tim Horton's is that you step inside of one and chances are not a single fucking employee can actually tell you who Tim Horton actually was...

As well as the Buffalo Sabres. Was pretty good for his time as well.

I actually have an autograph of his in the back of an old Maple Leaf history book, same signature as the franchise logo.

Yeah caffeine overdoses blow dick. I've done that before eating chocolate covered espresso beans.

That's only about double the LD50 of cocaine btw. Pure caffeine is no joke.
