1 So surgery is a huge possibility. on 2013-10-17, 23:57

Went back to my doctor today and he was pretty shocked that I still have to wear a sling daily to cope with the pain.
As according to him I still should barely need the sling almost 4 and a half months after the injury. So he highly recommended an arothiscropic surgery or something.

But he wants to give me another month of physical therapy, and see how well that helps.
I mean I kinda had to convince him to that, as I showed him I can move my arm slightly more now, just with constant pain.

But I agreed that if the pt doesnt work I will take him up on the surgery. Which is...honestly very upsetting for me.

I've kinda had a really bad day since finding out. Now everything else is going to have to wait longer.

Like I have been turned down from several jobs, even ones with virtually no physical labor required because I am seen as a liability.
I am no longer able to attend that obstacle coursse I signed up and paid for MONTHS ago.
And other stuff.

God this year has sucked horribly. Im just tired of everything to be honest. And each day I am finding it harder and harder to keep going.
Just running out of strength so to speak.

Tired of going through all this alone.

the surgery isn't so bad man...I was very scared of getting my appendix out awhile back but they just put the gas mask on you and you like instantly peacefully fall asleep and then wake up after. I'm never really on xbox anymore but if need somebody to talk to I know how it is with the depression and shit

They'll knock the shit out of you before anything else. You really won't feel a thing.

And if they fuck up, well, you're in America, you can sue someone for making your coffee too hot.

Arthroscopic surgery isn't bad at all. I had it on my knee almost 15 years ago when I tore my meniscus. Had the surgery at 7:30 in the morning was back home that afternoon and walking on it the next day, and back to playing sports in about a week. Most of my post surgery was against doctors orders...he recommended crutches for 3 days, and then only light walking for a couple weeks and no sports for about a month. I'm sure its probably even less invasive and simpler now than it was back then.

Yea Arthoscopic surgery is nothing man

Not sure what you are so worried about

Just fix it

Take it from somebody who has had many of them, surgeries arent so bad. Especially the very minor surgery your talking about. Just do it and get it over with.

That sucks man...shoulder injuries are a real bitch. You should get the surgery if you're still in pain ligaments and tendons don't heal well on their own and if they haven't healed properly by now then I doubt a month is going to do much good.

If you're all gimped out and trying to move your arm you could be doing more harm than good. Just let them rebuild your shoulder. You'll feel so much better afterwards.

Arthroscopic surgery is what Sym had on his shoulder. I think he only had two little holes and it took about...45 minutes.

Don't worry so much, its nothing. Just get it done, get it over with. It'll only help you out...then go to PT afterwards.

My 65 year old co-worker just had his knee scoped two weeks ago. He used crutches for a day, and was back at work walking in three. So hopefully it won't that bad soap.

But either way that sucks to hear man, you never want to have to get surgery on anything. But hopefully you get that shit taken care of and your back chasin' bitches, and making other members of the SeC uncomfortable with strange comments soon.

Take care soap.

My shoulder surgery was a SLAP repair. So it was sorta kinda similar, but not really.

I know its probably nothing to be afraid of. Just I have a very large fear of doctors and shit, have since I was younger. So the thought of being put under and having them dig around my shoulder with a needle and drill terrifies me.

Although the only really good thing that has happened to me in the past several months is I MIGHT have a date tomorrow.

Dont want to say anymore as I don't want to Jynx it

So I went down again today to turn in the extension form for my disability and we talked about it.

He wants me to attend physical therapy another 4 weeks 2x a week. Because according to him, while my rate of recovery for my shoulder is really uncommon, and that I am basically behind in my recovery. He said that even slight movement is still a sign of recovery. So while he thinks that surgery is the best course, he wants to give it another 4 more weeks.

Which frankly, is fine with me.

And I shouldn't have said anything about the possible date tomorrow. As she hasn't responded or anything. So I did jynx myself.

oh Jr...I remember those posts haha. But yeah... I may have to get my shoulder cut up a bit too... sucks but I also have to get my plate removed from ankle....and maybe some other things done there...my mentality...I just want to get it done so I could feel fine again... I have full confidence if you do get surgery you will be much happier after.

Not necessarily. My friend Bubba McGillicuty went in for a simple arm surgery and they accidentally cut off his dick.

Happens all the time.

Im surprised the SeC is advocating surgery

This is the place were people didnt tick the Organ donor on their license because they thought Paramedics would let them die to steal their kidneys
